43 Real Questions, Real Answers

Frequently Asked Questions.

Every question a home service business owner asks before hiring us — answered honestly, without fluff or agency-speak.

Getting Started

What kind of businesses do you work with?

Home service businesses — roofing, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, landscaping, pressure washing, painting, pest control, fencing, remodeling, and similar trades. We specialize here because the buyer psychology, ad angles, and local SEO dynamics are specific enough to warrant focus.

How do I know if we're a good fit?

Book a free 30-minute strategy call. If your market, budget, or offer isn't set up to make ads work, Jaden will tell you honestly — and point you toward what to fix first. We turn down more calls than we accept; we only take clients we can get results for.

How much ad spend do I need to start?

Minimum $1,000/month. Under that, there isn't enough daily budget for the algorithm to optimize. Most of our clients start between $1,500–$3,000/mo and scale from there once campaigns are profitable.

How fast can we launch?

After the onboarding call, most campaigns are live within 7–10 days. Week 1 is strategy, creative, audience build, pixel setup, and landing pages. Week 2 is launch + early optimization. Most clients see their first leads by day 10–14.

Do I need to already be running ads?

No. Over half our clients have never spent a dollar on Meta before we start. We build everything from scratch — Business Manager, ad account, pixel, campaign structure, audiences, landing pages, automations.

Can you work with contractors outside the United States?

We serve the US and Canada. Our ad angles, seasonality frameworks, and compliance knowledge are built around North American home service markets. We turn down UK/EU/AU prospects because we can't guarantee the same results outside our lane.

Can you handle franchises or multi-location businesses?

Yes. We run campaigns for multi-location contractors across 2–50 locations. Each location gets its own ad set with local creative + service-area targeting, while the brand layer stays consistent. Reporting is both aggregated and per-location so you can spot under-performers fast.

Pricing & Contracts

How much do you charge?

Monthly management starts at $1,500/mo (Performance Ads Only) and goes up to $2,997/mo (Meta + Google Bundle). Coaching packages are $2,500–$5,000 flat-fee. One-time sprint buildouts are $7,500. See our full pricing page for all tiers and add-ons.

Is there a setup fee?

No setup fees on monthly plans. The onboarding + campaign build happens in week 1 of your first month's management fee. If you want a one-time buildout without ongoing management, that's the $7,500 Marketing Turnaround Sprint.

Is there a long-term contract?

Monthly management is month-to-month. We keep clients because of results — not contracts. Coaching packages are flat-fee paid upfront for the duration (3–6 months). Community membership is cancel-anytime.

Do I pay for ad spend separately?

Yes. Management fees pay for our work; ad spend is paid directly to Meta/Google by you, on your own card. That way you own your ad account and all data associated with it — no vendor lock-in.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Done-for-you plans are month-to-month with a 30-day notice. No cancellation fees. We'll help transfer your ad account, pixel history, and assets if you decide to move on or go in-house.

Do you offer a refund if the first month doesn't work?

Month 1 is calibration — we don't offer refunds on month 1 because the work happens regardless of early performance. If months 2–3 aren't producing the economics we projected in the strategy call, we either pause and re-scope or refund the last month's management fee. We've only had to do the refund twice in 200+ clients.

What's included in the $19.99/mo Inner Circle?

Private Discord, twice-weekly group strategy calls, live ad teardowns on real client campaigns, monthly creative reviews where you can submit your ads for feedback, and direct Q&A access to the Elev8 team. It's the lowest-price way to plug into our system without a full retainer.

Do I keep my ad account and pixel data if I leave?

Yes. Your Business Manager, ad account, pixel, and all historical data belong to you — always. We set them up under your ownership from day 1 so there's zero lock-in. When clients leave (which is rare), we do a handoff call with their new agency or in-house hire.

Meta Ads Specific

Will my ads work even if my business is in a small market?

Yes, often better than in big cities. Small markets have less competition = cheaper CPMs. The constraint is audience size — if your service area has only 50K homeowners, you'll burn through it faster and need to manage frequency tightly. We handle this for you.

My competitors run Meta ads — does that mean the market is saturated?

Usually the opposite. Competitors running ads means the platform works in your market. What matters is differentiation — a better offer, better creative, or better follow-up — not platform saturation.

Do Meta ads still work after iOS 14+ tracking changes?

Yes, with proper setup. We install the Conversion API alongside the Pixel, which restores 20–30% of the attribution lost to iOS privacy changes. Most DIY accounts skip CAPI, which is why they think 'ads don't work anymore'.

What's the difference between Facebook ads and Meta ads?

Same thing. 'Meta ads' is the current name because Meta (formerly Facebook Inc.) owns Facebook + Instagram + Messenger + WhatsApp. When we say 'Meta ads', we mean ads running across Facebook + Instagram + their partner properties.

Can you run just Instagram ads, not Facebook?

Technically yes, but we never recommend it. Meta's algorithm gets better data when you allow auto-placements across both. Instagram-only campaigns cost 30–50% more per lead for home service accounts.

Do you only do Meta ads, or Google Ads too?

Both. Meta (Facebook + Instagram) is our core expertise, but we also run Google Search, Google Local Services Ads (LSA), and YouTube. Our Meta + Google Bundle ($2,997/mo) runs them together — the two channels compound when coordinated by a single team.

My Meta ad account was banned — can you help?

Yes, we've handled dozens of bans and reinstatements. We audit what triggered it (usually creative policy violations or billing issues), submit the appeal with proper documentation, and rebuild the account structure so it doesn't happen again. If reinstatement isn't possible, we set up a clean new Business Manager.

Will my ads show on Instagram too, or just Facebook?

Both. Modern Meta campaigns run across Facebook feed + Stories, Instagram feed + Reels + Stories, and Messenger. We don't split them — the algorithm is smarter about placement than manual segmentation, and cross-placement testing is where most of our scaling wins come from.

Do you use AI to write the ads?

We use AI for first drafts and ideation — it speeds us up — but every ad that goes live is edited, tested, and optimized by a human specialist. Pure AI-generated ads underperform badly; the hooks, offers, and cultural references that convert require real operator context.

How do you handle seasonality in my trade?

We calibrate budget, creative, and offers to the demand cycle for your specific trade + state. Example: HVAC in Texas gets heavier budget May–September; roofing in the Midwest pre-positions April for post-storm season. We don't just 'always on' your ads — we time spend to when your buyers are ready.

What ad formats work best for home service contractors?

Top performers in order: (1) UGC-style video testimonials (real customer, phone camera, <60s), (2) before/after video with voiceover, (3) owner-on-camera founder-story ads, (4) static image with bold offer + trust signal, (5) carousel ads showing multi-step process. Reels placement typically has lowest CPM.

Lead Management

What happens after someone submits a lead form?

Inside 60 seconds: auto-SMS + email + optional webhook into your CRM. The lead gets a personalized message setting expectations. Your team gets a notification on their phone. If you already have a CRM, we integrate; if not, we set one up for you as part of Funnel & Lead Management.

Do you handle lead follow-up too?

We build the automation system — SMS, email, workflow. The actual human follow-up (calling the lead to book a job) is your team's work. We can recommend VA setups or hire one through our Hire-a-VA program.

What CRMs do you work with?

GoHighLevel, HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, JobNimbus, ServiceTitan, Housecall Pro, Jobber, Zoho, Keap, custom Zapier setups. If you don't have one, we'll recommend GHL — it's the best combination of cost and power for home service businesses.

What if my team is slow to follow up?

That kills ad campaigns faster than anything. We set automation to buy you a buffer (instant SMS within 60 seconds) but the human follow-up has to happen within an hour or close rates crater. If your team can't commit to that, we'll flag it on our discovery call.

Results & Reporting

How will I know if the ads are working?

Monthly performance report showing: ad spend, leads generated, cost per lead, booked jobs (from your reporting or CRM integration), revenue generated, ROAS. Plus a weekly async video walk-through during the first 90 days while we're dialing things in.

What results can I realistically expect?

We aim for 3–5× ROAS within 60–90 days. Some clients hit 10× (rare). Some hit 2× (most often in ultra-competitive markets or with weak offers). If we can't get you to profitable ROAS by month 3, we'll tell you honestly — and we won't keep billing.

How fast will I see the first leads?

Most clients see leads within 48–72 hours of campaigns going live. Some take 5–7 days (common in smaller markets). Month 1 is dialing in; Month 2 is where things compound. We don't believe in getting-rich-quick ad stories — we believe in sustainable scaling.

Can you guarantee results?

No, and neither can any honest agency. Meta ads, your market, your competitors, your offer, and your team's follow-up all affect results — most of those are outside our control. What we guarantee: transparent reporting, daily optimization, and we'll tell you fast if we can't make it work.

How do you measure success — leads, cost per lead, or something else?

Cost per booked job. Leads and CPL are leading indicators we optimize daily, but the only metric that matters for your business is: how much did you pay to get a job on the calendar? Our weekly reports show CPL trends, but our monthly reviews focus on booked-job economics and ROAS.

Our Process

What happens on the first call?

30 minutes with Jaden. We review your market, current lead sources, offer, team, and goals. By the end you'll know: what's realistic for your business, what it would cost, and whether Elev8 is the right fit. No sales pressure — we turn down most calls.

How is onboarding structured?

Week 1: kickoff call + questionnaire, Business Manager + pixel setup, creative brief, audience research. Week 2: ads built, landing pages created, automations set up, campaigns launched. Week 3+: daily optimization, weekly check-ins, monthly reports.

How often do you communicate with clients?

Daily Slack channel for quick questions, weekly async video update from your account manager, monthly performance call with Jaden or a senior strategist. No endless meetings — we optimize communication for efficiency.

Will I work directly with Jaden?

Jaden is on every client's strategy. Day-to-day campaign management is done by our senior team. On the monthly call and anytime you need to escalate, Jaden is there.

What if I don't like the creative you produce?

Each creative round includes 2 revision cycles. If you're not happy after round 2, we pause, discuss, and re-scope. We've never had a client stuck with creative they didn't like; every client gets creative they're proud to see under their brand.

Do you build landing pages for the ads?

Yes — included in every retainer and buildout. Most contractors' existing sites aren't built to convert cold Meta traffic. We build dedicated landing pages with the offer, trust signals, and a conversion-focused form that feeds directly into your CRM.

What kind of creative do you produce?

Short-form video (UGC-style testimonials, before/afters, owner-on-camera), static image ads, and carousel ads. For trades where the work is visual (roofing, landscaping, remodeling, pressure washing), video dominates. For utility trades (HVAC, plumbing, pest), image + owner-story video performs strongest.

What happens if I want to scale into a new service area?

Easy — we duplicate the campaign structure, adjust geo-targeting, tweak creative to reference the new market, and launch. Typical timeline: 3–5 business days. Existing pixel data and audience learnings carry over, so the new market ramps faster than a cold launch.
